Our Senior Pastors

Dr. R.A. Vernon and Dr. Victory Vernon are the visionary founders of The Word Church, one of the largest and most dynamic ministries in the nation. Known for his bold, relatable preaching, Dr. Vernon makes the Gospel practical—addressing relationships, finances, and faith with biblical solutions.

Dr. Victory Vernon is a compassionate leader and powerful voice for personal transformation, inspiring others through her book, I Am Victory, and her leadership.

Married for over 25 years, the Vernons are proud parents of five and joyful grandparents. Together, they lead with a deep commitment to faith, family, and service—creating a church where everyone can experience God’s transformative love.

Our Campus Pastor

Terrence and Allison Carr are passionate about seeing lives transformed through the power of Jesus and helping people understand God’s unique calling.

Born into a military family, Terrence grew up in Okinawa, Japan, where he witnessed first-hand the power of the Gospel’s ability to transcend culture.

Married for over a decade, they make their lives in Cleveland with their four children—Terrence III, Ariah, Jeremiah, and Destiny.

  • Kidz In The Word is hypest place for your little ones in the city. We believe in building the next generation. Every service experience is tailor-made to reach your child at their level. Not only will they have fun, but they will learn the fundamentals of the Christian faith.

    Upon arrival at all of our locations, you will be able to check in your child at the KITW check-in stations. Your child will then be led to their classroom and taken care of by background-checked volunteers. Click here to pre-register for faster check-in.
