Groups are small gatherings of people doing life together — a place to build deep friendships, grow in faith, and find real support. Whether you're new to Word City or have been here for years, groups give you a circle to belong to, not just a row to sit in.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, groups are organized into four distinct hubs:
SERVE – focused on outreach and making a tangible impact through servitude
SUPPORT – Providing care, encouragement, and a safe space for those navigating life’s challenges
STUDY – Centered around spiritual growth through books, sermon series, & approved curriculum.
SOCIAL – Built around shared interests and activities that help cultivate authentic relationships.

Most groups meet per semester. This allows new people to join groups easily and often! The semester format enables people to try multiple groups each year. Meeting often fosters consistent relationships that encourage some groups to stay together each semester; however, new members are always welcome.
-
Childcare varies from one group to another. When searching our group lists, each group should indicate whether childcare is available.

Truthfully, not every group is a perfect fit on the first attempt, and that is okay. We encourage everyone to select multiple groups to find the one that best fits their interests and space. This is the strategy for finding the PERFECT group—try a few!
